Score free-response questions on the AP Calculus AB and BC exams against a nine-point standard, so that a response earns the same score regardless of who reads it. Scoring accuracy is monitored throughout the reading against pre-scored validity samples seeded into the queue, and Readers work under named controls for halo, leniency, severity, and similar-to-me bias.

Lead a table of Readers through the scoring guidelines and benchmark responses, support their required training and calibration, backread at least 10 percent of the table's scored responses using both informed and blind review, monitor accuracy against calibration and validity samples, and document mentoring and performance in the end-of-shift report.
AP Calculus Table Leaders are trained on two or three free-response questions each year rather than the single question typical of other subjects.
