Twenty-six years of teaching mathematics and statistics, centered on the numbers people act on: money, risk, measurement, and grades.
I teach developmental algebra through calculus, in person and online, mostly to adults and non-traditional students who arrive expecting to fail at quantitative work. Alongside the teaching I build the systems around it: curriculum for a K–12 online school, assessment structures, and scoring standards for the College Board.
The work that looks unrelated to that is not. Twelve personal finance certifications, motorcycle safety instruction, and NASA public outreach all come down to the same question, which is what a number or an instruction can actually support.
